Clean-iX® Ion Exchange
Specified Quality at a Reduced CostThe Clean-iX® technology platform represents the state of the art in continuous ion exchange processing applied to demineralisation. Its unique counter current design allows Clean-iX® systems to overcome many traditional ion exchange limitations, making it adaptable to many industries that were unable to be considered by the traditional ion exchange systems in the past.
Clean-iX® Ion Exchange:
- Builds on inherent strengths of ion exchange for water purification.
- Incorporates new advances in continuous ion exchange technology, making it able to constantly remove suspended solids like a sand filter, using its Moving Bed Technology.

Amongst the many advantages the Clean-iX® has over other systems, Clean-iX® can be used in a variety of water applications including: Processing of Treated Wastewater to Industrial Standards for Reuse.
The economics of the reuse scheme are very attractive, and the recovery of valuable metals, salts and oils in the wastewater stream can be an added advantage.
Ultrapure Water
Many industries, such as food, dairy and beverage processing and pharmaceuticals use ultra-pure water as a part of the industrial process. Clean-iX® Ion Exchange can be used to provide the highest quality water using the appropriate configurations of anion, cation and mixed bed processes.
Potable water treatment
Clean-iX® Ion Exchange can be used to treat surface or ground water to potable water standards. Alternative configurations of the system can be employed to target specific contaminants that may be of concern. The continuous moving bed process ensures that breakthrough of contaminants into the potable stream is not a possibility.
Pre Treatment
Clean-iX® Ion Exchange can be used to treat industrial, agricultural or municipal water to remove particularly difficult ions such as heavy metals, hard ions, poisons, and hydrocarbon/oils. The resin can be specifically designed to be selective to certain contaminants in the water for recovery or removal.
