RETOX® Regenerative Thermal Oxidisers

The Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) is designed for applications where volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) or odors are present in the gas stream.

Clean TeQ, partners with Adwest USA manufacture, install and commission the RETOX ® range of RTO’s for the Austral-Asia and South Pacific region.

The RETOX ® unit consists of two random packed ceramic beds through which the VOC laden air passes. The flow through these beds is reversed based on temperature to provide an efficient heat transfer from the air being treated to the ceramic medium, effectively recovering the heat energy during operation. Efficiencies greater than 95% heat recoveries are the norm.

An independent gas train with a burner is used for pre-heating the bed or to inject fuel gas, (Natural Gas or LPG) into the process stream to maintain the temperature within the combustion chamber. The zero flame operation reduces the potential for NOx and SOx production, providing one of the lowest emission rates on the market.
